AI Director has two separate workflows

AI Director offers One-click Video and Script Generation as independent features. Script Generation provides the full script-to-video workflow. Tasks, project states, and outputs do not convert from one feature into the other.

Feature Best for Your role
One-click Video You have character references and want a complete short video quickly Upload references, describe the story, choose output settings, and let the system storyboard, generate, and compose automatically
Script Generation You want control over the script, characters, and every shot Review each of the script, character, storyboard-image, storyboard-video, and final-video stages

Choose One-click Video for speed. Choose Script Generation when you want to edit and regenerate individual assets.

Feature 1: One-click Video

1. Open One-click Video

Open AI Director and select One-click Video below the message box. The input area displays character assignments, video model, aspect ratio, resolution, duration, and estimated credits.

2. Upload and label references

Configure at least one and up to four characters:

  • upload 1–2 clear images for each character;
  • optionally upload up to two scene images;
  • keep each image under 10 MB;
  • assign every image to Female 1–4, Male 1–4, or Scene.

Assign two images to the same identity when they show the same character. Use a different identity for each different character. Scene images carry no character identity and help preserve the environment and visual style.

Use clear, unobstructed references. Multiple angles of one character should keep hair, clothing, and age consistent.

3. Describe the short video

Include the character relationship, location, central event, main action, and mood or style.

Example: Female 1 searches for a lost camera at a railway station on a rainy night. Male 1 appears from the crowd holding it. They exchange a glance and run toward the departing train. Restrained mystery, cinematic look, stable camera movement.

Describe the main story rather than writing every shot. One-click Video creates the storyboard automatically.

4. Choose output settings

Review these controls before submitting:

  1. Video model: availability follows the platform's current configuration.
  2. Aspect ratio: 9:16, 16:9, 3:4, 4:3, or 1:1.
  3. Resolution: supported tiers depend on the selected model.
  4. Final duration: 30–90 seconds in 10-second steps.
  5. Estimated credits: updates with the model, resolution, and duration.

5. Confirm and let the workflow finish

Send the request, then choose Generate in the confirmation dialog. The workflow automatically:

  1. designs the complete storyboard;
  2. generates each storyboard video;
  3. composes the clips in shot order.

The task card shows the current stage and completed-shot count. You can leave the page and return to the same conversation later.

One-click Video consumes credits by generation stage. If part of the workflow fails, completed work may still have consumed credits; review the confirmation message before starting.

6. Download, retry, or compose partial results

  • All shots succeed: preview the result and choose Download video.
  • One shot fails: choose Retry on that shot; retrying consumes credits again.
  • Some shots succeed: download them individually or choose Compose successful shots to make a partial cut.

Feature 2: Script Generation (Script-to-Video)

1. Generate a script

Open AI Director and select Script Generation, then choose a script mode and model:

  • General works for most complete stories.
  • Short Story creates a tighter structure for a quick test.
  • Long Story supports more characters, shots, and longer material.

Enter the protagonist, setting, central conflict, ending direction, and overall style, then submit.

2. Edit and select the script

Review the characters, scenes, dialogue, and ending. Choose Edit when needed, then choose Select as Script and confirm.

梦聚DreamX analyzes the selected script and prepares character-image, storyboard-image, and storyboard-video prompts. The top bar contains five Script Generation stages: Script, Characters, Storyboard Images, Storyboard Videos, and Final Video.

3. Generate character images

Open Characters:

  1. review and edit the appearance prompt if needed;
  2. choose an aspect ratio;
  3. generate the character versions you need;
  4. regenerate weak results;
  5. select a preferred historical thumbnail to make it current.

Lock the principal character images before generating storyboards to reduce identity changes between shots.

4. Decide whether to generate storyboard images

Open Storyboard Images and review identity, location, framing, and composition for each shot.

  • If you will use Storyboard image to video, first generate the corresponding storyboard image.
  • If you will use Reference assets to video, you may skip storyboard-image media and use the generated character images directly.

Regenerate only the weak shot. Earlier versions remain available in history.

5. Generate storyboard videos

Open Storyboard Videos, choose an aspect ratio, and select a video scheme:

  • Storyboard image to video starts from the corresponding storyboard image and gives tighter composition control.
  • Reference assets to video uses the character references involved in that shot and prioritizes identity consistency.

Review each video prompt and set an integer duration from 4 to 15 seconds. Add the main action, camera movement, and pacing when needed, then generate. Successful videos are added to the composition list automatically; historical versions can be restored after regeneration.

6. Compose and download the final video

When the required storyboard videos are ready, open Final Video. Check the clip count and choose Compose Final Video. 梦聚DreamX sorts clips by shot number, combines them, and provides the result for preview and download.

7. Revise an existing project

  • Change one prompt: edit and save that character or shot.
  • Redo one asset: use Regenerate on that item.
  • Rebuild one prompt stage: choose the stage-level Regenerate and confirm.
  • Restart from the script: edit the selected script, then choose Regenerate Characters and Storyboards.

Regenerating a prompt stage can replace existing prompts and media references. Download or note any version you need before confirming.

Common questions

Can I continue one workflow in the other?

There is no direct conversion. One-click Video and Script Generation maintain independent task states. Download a one-click result for use in another creation tool, or start with Script Generation when you need shot-level control.

Why does One-click Video require character images?

The references establish character identities across multiple shots. Configure at least one character with one image. Scene images are optional.

Why is there no final video immediately after I select a script?

Script selection prepares downstream prompts automatically. Character, storyboard, and video generation consume credits and require your confirmation in each stage. Compose the result in Final Video after the storyboard videos are ready.

How do I reduce character drift?

Use clear, visually consistent references, set the preferred character version before making storyboards, and avoid repeatedly changing age, hair, clothing, or visual style in shot prompts.

Can I redo only one shot?

Yes. One-click Video can retry an individual failed shot. Script Generation can regenerate one storyboard image or video, then compose the project again.
